![]() ![]() Just add about 40 seconds to whatever the fastest time is to set your cutoff times for when you need to send them out at end of session, but keep in mind if you just made changes it takes a bit for mechanics to do it before the car goes out. If the top qual time is say 1:30 you can send them out with a little over 2 min left and still be able to get the qual lap in. I dont think the same setup would work for different drivers at the same track. BTW, doesnt it seem like the setup is for the driver and not for the track. I hear the same critiques from each driver in their first stints, make some tweaks and they are usually very happy by the end of practice. I can usually do it up to 3 times before I finally run my qual lap. I think the setup responses seem too canned. To clarify about using Qualifying - I immediately send them both out, as soon as they exit pit lane I hit the "bring in" button, and that will give you the setup feedback when they come back in. You might have to start further back but at least you got your setup for the race. Sometimes though you have to rush and qualify to beat rain, and then I just use the rainy part to dial my setup in to get to 99%, which is always my goal. ![]() Because unless there is rain you do your best time at end of Q when the grip is best. No? Well If i am struggling to get it dialed in I will bring them in every lap and sacrifice getting the nice bonuses for trim and tire, also sometimes I use the first part of Qualifying to dial it in further by just sending them out and bringing them in before without qualifying, for one lap to get it right.
